Disc Golf at Winged Deer Park

Disc Golf Tournament presented by Premier Design Disc Golf and Flying Finch Disc Golf. This PDGA sanctioned B tier tournament is open to amateur and professional players. Divisions for all skill levels. Great opportunity to jump into competitive play in a fun and welcoming atmosphere, meet fellow disc golfers, and get some great gear! All registered amateurs will receive a players pack.

Jacob’s Nature Park at Sinking Creek

Explore classic wetland, meadow and hardwood forest habitats; this park has a lot going on! Anticipate a slow-paced mile walk, stopping often for viewing and explanations of this natural world. There is some steep, but short, uphill sections as we navigate the ridge. Buffalo Mountain Sunrise Hike

Join Johnson City Parks and Recreation Nature Program Coordinator, Connie Deegan, for a sunrise hike on Buffalo Mountain on August 24th. This hike will begin at 6:00 AM SHARP to catch the sunrise at White Rock. Park below the yellow service road gate where park road ends Note: there is a mile and a half of constant moderate uphill on the front end of this hike, then we will continue on the White Rock Loop to the other side of the park as we make our way back down Fork Knob Trail on this 3.5 mile hike. ETSU Basler Team Challenge Aerial Adventure Course

The Basler Team Challenge and Aerial Adventure Course is a state of the art low and high ropes challenge course. The course offers a full range of ground-level team building initiatives, and a series of aerial challenges ranging from easy to difficult between 15 – 45 feet in the air. The Aerial Adventure Course offers the opportunity for participants to stretch their physical and mental limits.


Light Up Johnson City

Join Achieving Balance for “Light Up Johnson City” group ride on Friday, August 23rd, time TBD. Participants of all ages are invited to decorate their bikes as bright as possible. All participants will ride through Johnson City (route TBD) and the person with the most extravagantly decorated bike will be announced as the winner. For more information click the link below.
